Welcome to the Plymouth Ladies Charity Club

The Plymouth Ladies Charity Club is a registered charity that launched in October 2016. It was created to provide grants of up to £500 for children and young adults (under 25) living in Plymouth and any other PL postcode area. We welcome applications from children, their parents or carers, for those in need of financial assistance, be it to achieve a long held-ambition or to overcome a short-term problem.

Our application process is easy: simply complete the form telling us a little about the recipient and why they need help, and the PLCC grant committee will consider your request at the 6-weekly meeting and reply promptly. See some examples of who we have helped here.

We raise money through our membership and by holding a variety of events throughout the year.

There are many ways in which you could support us. You could join us, attend an event or make a donation.

If you would like to learn more, please contact us.

The Plymouth Ladies Charity Club is a registered charity (Charity No: 1170402).

PLCC COMMITTEE MEETING

Hi lovely friends and charity supporters ....
This Christmas when you open your pressies and you shove the ones you won’t use in the cupboard ( much of us are lucky enough to be in this situation)
Please ...... spare a thought about local charities .... not just ours , there are lots of charities that would really appreciate your unneeded gifts to use at fundraising events for the raffles .... believe it or not trying to get raffle items is quite an epic challenge.. so you may not ‘love ‘ the pressie and you might not ‘need ‘ it , but , we do and we also after this years shoebox appeal know people that will.
To give you an example, our Christmas lunch on 13th December we raised £2500 from the raffles .... so for most charities this is a big part of their fundraising.
PLCC regularly get asked for basic toiletries for youngsters, so these are always welcome .....Stoke Dameral community college are collecting ladies office clothes for people need help with clothes to wear to work.
Every where you look there are ways to help people around us and it’s Christmas after all ... think of Jeremiah’s Journey, Shekinah Mission, Hugs for Henry and of course Plymouth Ladies Charity Club....
Just think .... if everyone that read this shared it..... think how many that would reach ... if everyone gave one item it could be enough to run the raffles for all of these charities for one year.... 🤔
Makes you think ..
Thank you for reading this, we at PLCC wish you an amazing Christmas 🎄 but most of all we wish you love and happiness in the new year
Shelley and team xx
